On September 20th, a special event will take place in Ljubljana at Prešeren Square to celebrate World GO Day. From 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a promotional stand will be set up to raise awareness and address the stigma associated with gynaecologic cancers. At 2:00 PM, participants will join a walk across the bridges of the Ljubljanica River. This event will bring together individuals with experiences related to gynaecologic cancers, healthcare professionals, and supporters committed to making a difference. The aim is to raise awareness and encourage open discussions about these important issues.

Organization

Europa Donna Slovenia, established in 1997, is a member of Europa Donna - the European Breast Cancer Coalition, dedicated to raising awareness, education, and support for breast and gynaecologic cancer patients and their families. Our programs provide valuable information and resources, as well as direct support to those affected by these cancers. We empower patients to participate in their care decisions and stand by them through our organizations and representatives. By bridging communication between patients, healthcare professionals, and policymakers, we aim to enhance the quality of life for those impacted by ensuring they receive comprehensive care and support throughout their journey during treatment and post-treatment recovery.
