The 1st World Gynecologic Oncology Day

2019 marks the very first year, when World GO Day was launched!

 

In February 2019 the idea of a worldwide awareness day within ENGAGe was raised for the first time. The long term objectives for the World GO Day were set as follows:

- Raise public awareness of the impact of ovarian cancer on women, their families and friends, and the unmet need in the management of this disease

- Mobilize stakeholders to advocate for better outcomes for patients through greater awareness around prevention, early diagnosis, familial risk factors and treatment options, and a holistic approach to patient care

- Establish September 20 as the World Gynecologic Oncology Day (World GO Day) and bring it to the global level.
