#World Go Day has been celebrated in the city of Poti since its establishment, and traditionally we celebrate it this year as well.
On September 20, a meeting dedicated to the World Gynecologic Oncology Day will be held at Poti College "Fazisi" with students, lecturers and administration representatives. Event will be led by the founder of "Vitae for Life", former cancer patient Ketevan Bochorishvili, who will talk about personal experience of fighting cancer and stigmas, and an invited gynaecologist Sofia Tatarashvili will talk about women's health, gynaecological tumors, prevention, cancer screening programs.
Event will be followed by a walk of members, patients of Vitae and Poti Women's club as a sign of solidarity with GO patients.
Organization
Vitae for Life is an NGO organization located in Poti, western Georgia. Organization is founded by a former cancer-patient and aims to help onco-patients overcome difficulties related to psycho-social, physical, treatment and lifestyle changes, to participate in support measures against cancer and to introduce medical preventive culture through awareness raising of the population, to increase the level of civil activism in terms of cancer prevention and cancer patient support. www.facebook.com/vitae-georgia
